Fate, from a speech contest

An English speech contest in the 21st century brought me to Farragut when I was still a primary school student. At that time, I had no idea that I was going to spend three years here in high school.

The desire to study abroad, coupled with the previous experience of accompanying my parents to study and explore foreign universities, made me have the initial desire to study and live abroad, and finally let my family decide to choose an international high school.

Of course, in the end, I chose to come to Farragut to study in high school, not only because of its excellent location in the Heping District, but also because of the free and self-reliant atmosphere and environment of the school.

Success is not accidental

In these three years of study career, the school provides me with a lot of opportunities to explore interests and hobbies, not only let me get a lot of honors in high school, but also in the process of tacking challenges, established a good study habit.

Thanks to these achievements in high school, I became more confident and optimistic than before.

For more than three years, when I encounter difficulties, I will not rush to teachers or parents for help, but through continuous trial and error and fumble, gain lessons and experience of failure, to overcome difficulties again and again.

In doing things, I also become more calm, facinglife and academic arrangements in an orderly manner.

In addition to studying, Farragut developed a new interest in me, which is the flute.

Before I came to high school, I would play the piano. This is a long-term hobby that I began to practice at the age of 5. I have been practicing for more than 10 years, and I have obtained the piano grade 7 certificate.

And flute learning is a surprise. At that time, the school orchestra was full of piano players, and the orchestra teacher recommended to me to learn the flute because there was a shortage of orchestral players, so I learned a new instrument from scratch and performed with the orchestra at the graduation ceremony and New Year"s Day party every year.

This opportunity has given me a new skill. With the flute, I attended one graduation ceremony after another, attended the Christmasconcert and so on. Now, playing the flute has also become one of the best means of relaxation in leisure time. In addition, it was successfully selected by the Student Union Outreach Department.

Looking back on three years of school life, every day in Faragut is a good memory. I respect and thank every teacher, and the most grateful is my head teacher, Mr. an Xiaowen,who is my Math teacher as well as my homeroom teacher.

I have friends who have gone to Washington University in St. Louis, to New York University, and to the University of Amsterdam. Although we are scattered all over the world, we still communicate frequently.

My parents, my lights

Parents" training and support is an important guarantee that I can get today"s results.

Every day for three years they sent me to school. When I met a bottleneck in my study, they helped me with ease and gave me confidence. They are my guiding light and my strongest backing.

My parents arecollege professors of architecture, but they never put their preferences on me. They fully respected my views on the university and major, and as my study career progressed, I gradually decided to choose economics as a major, and they were very supportive of my choice.

In September, I will celebrate my 18th birthday, which I am both excited and nervous about. After that, I will become a truly independent "adult," which means that there will be more challenges waiting for me, but I am ready.

A new journey, a new chapter

During the application season, I received a total of 8 offers, and I was lucky to receive a letter of acceptance from UCI, which is my final choice.

At the school research stage, I was very determined to choose UC Schools, not only because of the excellence of these schools, but also because I had visited them in the United States before.

As the UC School I most look forward to, UCI is located in a very good Irvine environment, four seasons, pleasant scenery, the academic atmosphere and activities of the whole UCI school is also very rich and colorful.

For the future, I donot have a higher goal for myself, but I deeply know that everything must go one step at a time.

I am quite confidentthat in the unknown storm blazed a bright path. I willbe able to blaze a path that only belongs to oneself.
